The inside line!
By Wayne on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 11:11:51 AM PT
Got problems? I was so relentless that I finally got a rep to transfer me to the "Executive Center." That phone number is 570-708-8700 You can get Rick at ext 8162 or Kim at 8162. At least you won't go to a call center with deaf ears. BTW: they didn't solve my problem but I DID get a refund.

Anybody There?!
By Jean on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 10:49:11 PM PT
I was pregnant with my first child that time, my hubby and I lived in a ranch in mountainous part of Davao City, Philippines. Only the two of us stayed in the ranch because we still don't have a maid at that moment, it was a big place. One day, my hubby went to the bank to withdraw money and I was left alone in the house, our workers are in the back portion of the ranch tending some farm works. while I was browsing some files in my computer, our dogs kept on howling outside, they kept on howling at 12 noon, i looked outside to see whats happening, I was shocked because they're howling at me, it was so eerie. they kept on doing it for threee consecutive nights. I know somebody's out there and its not a person but an entity, I went outside fuming mad, I shouted "who are you, why are you doing this to me?!" I felt a cold air brushing into my skin and then the dogs stopped howling. after that incident, mysterious forces invaded our home, while I'm cooking the stove will just turn off, I saw it with my own two eyes, our maid experienced it too,the toilet just flushed while she's alone in the kitchen watching tv, my daughter often points out in the wall telling me there's a "mumu", my husband experienced it too... Is anybody out there?

Is there a point to this site?!
By K on Monday, Febuary 6, 2006 at 8:05:18 PM PT
Network Solutions isn't perfect but I challenge anyone to show me a registrar/hosting company that is. This site is an absolute joke. 90% of the posts have nothing to do with Network Solutions. This site has absolutely no credibility. If you're interested in Network Solutions testimonials - both good and bad - do a search on Yahoo and leave garbage like this to rot in the online garbage dump.

NSI are scum!
By richard032 on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 4:56:54 PM PT
I worked for NSI in there hosting department and at first it was not so bad but then we got into sales and or goal was to fill clients credit cards with junk . There servers are the slowest I ever seen our data bases were down or so slow you would time out. It got really bad when I learned that most of what I was trying to fix was broken just to get people to call in so we can up sell them.
To make your sales goal you would have to trick clients into buying hosting for 3 years by saying it’s only 9.96 per month then bill them for 3 years. The kicker was Email we would take down email all the time if the client had orders coming trough there mail they would be sure to call in and be a big up sell. All upper Mgt at NSI are sales men who would sell crack to there own baby for cash. High sales is everything you receive rewards for sales but never for fixing a clients service . I seen so many accounts of old ladies who were in up to there ears in dept because we sold them into bankruptcy I kept my hosting else ware . Of curse I was fired for spending to much time on a call trying to fix a clients mess we gave them.

Worst Hosting solution!
By Y Khan on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 1:51:46 PM PT
I can recommend this much to anyone who puts 2 mins of their time researching about network solution. They suck big time. We have been recommending customers to them for hosting websites. They are very callous in the whole customer service approach. We found their services unreliable and websites especially with e-commerce solutions are very difficult to configure and even more difficult to keep them working correctly especially if you are using their MSSQL database.

I think it is one of the worst hosting solutions I have run across.

CNAME/MX HELL!
By Joseph on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 8:15:55 AM PT
I just switched over to Network Solutions about 2 weeks ago. I have to say that their technical support is very polite, very fast to pick up the phone...but...I ran into a problem because I tried to stay with my old registry (droa.com) who I was very happy with. Basically, in order to stay w/ my old registry, I had to imput a lot of so-called CNAME and MX info into the registry's control panels. NSI supplied this info, but I found that I could not receive emails (though I could send, and my website was up and running). I tried to resolve this problem with NSI over my entire Christmas break and the week after. They kept escalating the problem, giving me ticket numbers, sending me to higher and higher levels within their tech support heirarchy. At some point, they had me talking with someone quite senior (this is after a week of waiting and phone-calling) who FINALLY resolved the issue. In the end, it turned out they had sent me the incorrect CNAME and MX info.

I have to say that my "conspiracy story" side suspects that they are purposefully making it very difficult to work with other registrars. NSI seems very intent on having you register your website with them in addition to just hosting (which is what I wanted to do). I'd hate to say that they supplied me with INCORRECT info for my old registrar, but they really didn't make it EASY for me to do so. Are their upper echelon tech support guys meeting in secret boardrooms with sales guys, trying to figure out dirty tricks to make you switch registrars? That's what I feel after all this.

Why not to use Network Solutions ( aka NetSol ) for Webhosting and Domain Registration and More..!
By Michael Armadia on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 8:08:23 PM PT
Please post this on your site, maybe it will help others to think twice about this company!!!!

I have been a customer of NetworkSolutions since around the year 2000. During the last three years customer service has changed. I have had customer service reps tell me they are located in Virgina but when I asked for her manager (without being transferd) He stated I am speaking with a call center in the Philippines..and then siad "I am sorry about that" the nnerve of the girl to lie.

I build simple websites for people to help pay for my uni and other stuff. A client who became a friend wanted to take over there own website due to her son now learning webdesign, I was happy to help them set up a Network Solutions account. I gave Network Solutions more business, Unix webhosting for a year paid in full, and transferd the Domain Name I was managing for her. Even added another Domain Name all worth over $340.00. When I asked that my webhosting be canceled that was attached to the Domain Name I transferd over to my clients account they would not refund me the $9.95.. it was just $9.95. I was offerd to buy another webhosting package but would have to pay for it first and then wait for a refund. I explained that I have made them more money and all I want was a 9.95 refund only! The girl said she could make a request to be reviewed so I waited and three days latter I was sent a basic email saying no. So today I called Network Solutions to cancel the hosting package and he asked me why I was canceling, I stated due to poor service and explained why. He just said ok and that he was sorry about the bad experiance " they must get paid extra to say that?" I heard it ALOT!!

One more thing Network Solutions allows you to buy every one of their services via you own control panel, BUT YOU CAN NOT CANCEL these services without calling in.

If you still insist on using Network Solutions go month to month you will not get a refund as explained by the rep who canceled my month to month webhosting plan i was canceling..

I can be contacted at webweaverz23@hotamail.com

surf boots!
By sam on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 2:12:59 AM PT
A remorseful Russell Crowe says all he wanted was a phone that worked so he could ring his wife Danielle in Sydney.

But whether the phone the fiery Crowe threw in a trendy New York hotel hit a wall, or a hotel worker's face, is now the subject of criminal charges that could land the Oscar-winning actor in jail.

Crowe's degrading day began in a $US3,000 ($A3,925) a night suite in SoHo's voguish Mercer Hotel at about 4am, when he attempted to call Danielle Spencer at home in their Sydney apartment.

Hollywood's $US20 million man then spent six hours in a jail cell before being handcuffed and paraded before news cameras like a prized catch on his way to a New York court.

The day ended with Crowe in hiding and charged with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.

The "dangerous or deadly instrument" cited by police was a faulty phone Crowe unplugged from his suite, took down to The Mercer's sleek lobby and allegedly threw at concierge, 28-year-old Nestor Estrada.

New York police allege the phone struck Estrada in the face, leaving him needing stitches.

If found guilty of both charges, Crowe could spend up to eight years in prison with killers, robbers and rapists.

What actually happened at 4.20am depends on who is talking.

Crowe, through his publicist Robin Baum, said Estrada was unhelpful when the actor complained he could not make the long distance call to Sydney.

Crowe did throw a phone, but it hit a wall, not Estrada's face, Baum said.

"After asking the front desk several times to replace a faulty phone in his room - and getting only attitude from the clerk on duty - Crowe brought the phone down to the front desk in an effort to address the situation in person," Baum said in a statement.

"Words were exchanged and Crowe wound up throwing the phone against the wall. He regrets that he lost his temper, but at no time did he assault anyone or touch any hotel employee."

Authorities view it differently.

"We have a strong case," Assistant District Attorney Chad Sjoquist said.

"This defendant is charged with hitting an employee of a hotel in the face with a telephone. The defendant admitted throwing the phone."

Police said Crowe was sober and cooperative at the time of his arrest - one officer described him as a perfect gentleman - although some reports say Crowe used foul language.

"F**k me, I'm sorry," Crowe allegedly said to police, according to the New York Daily News.

"I really didn't mean to hit the guy. I just wanted to get the f**king phones to work."

Crowe has a history of a bad temper, but he has been on his best behaviour the past two weeks in the US while promoting his new film, Cinderella Man.

The 41-year-old revealed to reporters last week he used techniques to calm himself down at times when he felt aggressive.

The techniques included "yoga or going for a walk or having a conversation about a completely different subject matter".

According to the London Sun newspaper, Danielle Spencer's overheard reaction to news of Crowe's arrest was: "No, not again, I told you I should have stayed. I want you to fly back today."

After his arrest Crowe was taken from the hotel to a police jail cell in the Manhattan suburb of Tribeca.

About six hours later - enough time for about 100 TV cameras, press photographers, paparazzi and journalists to converge - Crowe was led out to a waiting police car to take him to Manhattan's Criminal Courthouse.

Crowe's arms were handcuffed behind his back as a police officer guided him to the waiting car.

Barricades were set up on either side of the walk to keep the media at a distance.

Crowe, his eyes hidden by aviator-style sunglasses and his stern, emotionless face covered in stubble, did manage to give his new film Cinderella Man a plug.

Throughout the ordeal he wore a blue jacket with the Cinderella Man logo - the same jacket he wore when supporting friend Kostya Tszyu at his weekend world title fight in Manchester.

In court Sjoquist asked Judge Martin Murphy to saddle Crowe with $US5,000 ($A6,500) bail, but the judge allowed the actor to leave the court on his own recognisance. Crowe will have to re-appear on September 14.

Verisign credit card processing!
By Linda Irving on Sunday, May 8, 2005 at 5:58:35 PM PT
My worst consumer/customer experience was the result of signing up with Verisign for credit card processing on my website. From the completely confusing process of securing a versign account and a "merchant account", through to finally trying to cancel these accounts, my experience was fraught with more frustration than I have ever experienced. Customer service was unbelievably incompetent (nay, non-existent), charges were increased by $30/month totally by surprise, and no amount of communicating with the company helped in any way. I would strongly recommend against anyone doing ANY business with this organization.

Vikstar!
By Joanie on Saturday, Febuary 12, 2005 at 6:24:21 AM PT
Hi,
I just received word from my credit card company that they will issue a credit for those bogus UGGS this week and go after Vikstar to recoup the loss! If anyway needs help getting their money back, I would love to help! I've got the documentation printed out that proves the fraudulent nature of Vikstar and the scam they are running.

You can beat these bastards! Don't give up! There is a law suit for trademark infringement currently in process by a Chicago based firm. Don't think you were the only sucker...this is an international scam!
